Resolved: Misleading and Fraudulent claims by a company
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Tata Play HD STB do not have Dolby audio feature as claimed by the company in their portal.
After hard pursue They replaced with a brand new box which has DD sign and Dolby menu in sound setting. People willing to buy Tata Play HD STB must check that it carries DD logo and license declaration at the back of the box.
Due to the brand value, I trusted them. However, I found that the box does not support Dolby Audio nor is it double D certified. It only supports PCM audio. The box cannot identify Dolby signals that certain HD channels offer, like MTV Beats HD, Star Movies HD, etc.
I informed the technicians; they acknowledged the issue and tried to convince me that the box supports Dolby Audio, but they were not able to prove it. In searching for more details, I found that they mentioned Dolby with the logo in the portal, but if you click on details, it mentions PCM audio. The misleading and fraudulent claims by the company constitute a breach of trust and illegal business practice. They are not willing to accept it or change the box.
I strongly advise all members NOT TO PURCHASE THE TATA PLAY HD SET TOP BOX because of its poor quality and spurious claims.
They are not only cheating customers but also hiring half-baked technicians who have a vague idea about the product. These technicians are only installers, with ZERO knowledge about other features claimed by the company.

Poor Service
I have upgrade my HD box recently and within 3 Days it become defective. For them customers are useless.Their approach is very disgusting.

Setup box not working

Customer care says send a technician foe fault of set up box
But today come and my set up box is not working .

Error Message
I was on Europe tour from 11.07.24 to 16.08.24. Hence I wanted to deactivate my account for 30 days. I could not complete the same as I was getting error message and retry I stopped it.
My request is to postpone to recharge for 30 days and the due date for next recharge.

SERVICE IN CONNECTION & POOR RESPONSE BY CUSTOMER CARE
Dear Sir, I am a customer of Tata Play. My sub ID is 132066****.
I submitted a complaint on 17-7-2024 due to problems with the connection to customer care. A technician came but couldn't resolve the problem. I called customer care again for that. I was replied to by a customer care assistant that he would arrange another technician visit, but the technician didn't come.
I called customer care again today and received the same response that a technician will come.
Please resolve the problem as soon as possible. Regards.
